What you gain
One click in the cart
A block lists the insurances of the website and the customer adds or removes each one without leaving the cart.
Fixed price or percentage
A fixed price with your price lists and taxes, or a percentage of the order that follows every change.
Pre-checked or not
Each insurance can be checked when the cart opens, and a refusal is remembered on that cart.
Out of the product list
Insurances are not counted as articles and are never sold from the shop pages.
Clear totals
One row in the cart totals and one summary row on quotations, invoices and credit notes.
Per website and company
Each website chooses its insurances and price display, each company its documents.
How it works
Create the insurance
Flag a service product, choose a fixed price or a percentage and the default choice.
The customer chooses
In the cart, the customer checks or unchecks each insurance and the percentage follows the order.
Totals and documents
The total includes the insurances and the documents add a summary row.
Frequently asked questions
Can an insurance be imposed on the customer?
No. The default choice only pre-checks it, the customer can remove it and it is not added again on that cart.
What does a percentage apply to?
To the untaxed amount of the order without the insurances and the delivery, discounts included, recomputed at every change.
What happens if the cart is emptied?
The insurances leave with it, so that no hidden line is ever paid.
Scope
It completes the Odoo shop cart: prices, taxes, price lists, orders and invoices remain the standard ones.
