Odoo training: by job role, not by application
An accountant doesn't need to know the Accounting app: they need to know how to close their month in Odoo.
Our Odoo training is built by role, on your data and with your documents. Each participant learns their own job in the tool configured for your company, not a list of menus on a demo database. It is the most concrete part of change management in an ERP project.
How is our Odoo training designed?
By role
Sales administrator, accountant, warehouse operator, project manager, manager: everyone learns their own job in Odoo, not a list of menus.
On your test database
With your products, your customers and your real cases, not on an empty demo database.
With a written procedure
Each role leaves with its own procedure, written in its own words.
What training formats do we offer?
- Key user training, before go-live.
- Team training, by role.
- A refresher session three months after launch, when the real questions come up.
- Training for new joiners.
Training takes place at your premises or remotely, for one person or for a group. It adapts to your project calendar: before the switchover for key users, just after it for the teams, later for refreshers.
Why train key users?
Short answer: key users then train their colleagues. That is what makes the company autonomous instead of dependent on its integrator.
A key user knows the business and the configuration of your Odoo. They answer day-to-day questions, report enhancement needs and welcome new joiners. We train them first, during acceptance testing, so that they validate for themselves what they will later teach.
Odoo training and change management: the role of consulting
Training users on a poorly split process means teaching them a workaround. That is why our consultants, who are also the ones behind ANOR's organisation consulting, review the flow before writing the programme: who enters what, when and with which control. Training then becomes a change management tool, not just a walkthrough of the screens.
Your teams already use Odoo and you have doubts about real adoption? The free situation audit observes the workstations and spots what is still being done outside the tool. The training plan follows from it, role by role.
Our training by application
Days focused on one module, to master how an Odoo application works.
How does a session work?
Application-based training lasts one seven-hour day, with a break every two hours and a one-hour lunch break. It is led by a senior trainer who is a certified Odoo project manager. Each participant has a computer connected to the internet, whether on site or remote.
- A round table to gather participants' needs and expectations.
- A course handout with the detailed outline, theory and exercises.
- Demonstrations on a dedicated environment, accessible over the internet.
- An assessment of the participants by the trainer and of the trainer by the participants.
Lead time to access a training course is estimated at two weeks to one month. For a different need (purchasing, project, expense reports, a specific role), we build a tailored course from your processes.
And after the Odoo training?
Odoo training doesn't end with the last hour. Each role keeps its written procedure. A refresher session is possible when the real questions come up. And Odoo support remains available for the cases the procedure doesn't cover.
Feedback or a complaint about a course you attended can be submitted on the ticket portal, under the "Training" category. Each item is handled by the training manager within five working days.
Frequently asked questions about Odoo training
No. Application-based courses are open to all levels. You just need to be comfortable using a computer and to know the business aspects involved: sales, accounting or project management.
Both are possible. We come to the customer's premises or run sessions by video conference, anywhere in France.
On your test database when the project is under way, with your products, your customers and your real cases. Otherwise, on a dedicated environment accessible over the internet.
Yes. Each participant leaves with the course handout and each role with its written procedure.
The terms of the training are set out in the proposal you receive. For any funding question, contact us before enrolment: we will tell you what we can provide.
An application-based course lasts one seven-hour day. A role-based course, built on your processes, is sized according to the number of flows to cover: shorter for a simple role, several sessions for a manager who works across several applications.
Both, in that order. Key users are trained during acceptance testing, then the teams by role just after go-live. Key users then handle refreshers and onboarding of new joiners, which reduces dependence on the integrator.
Are your teams really using Odoo?
Half a day of observation is often enough to spot what is still being done outside Odoo and why.
