Odoo news: what we learn on SME projects
Compliance, Odoo versions, modules: the topics that directly affect your ERP.
This Odoo news section gathers information useful to business owners and project managers: the legal obligations that change your invoicing, the support calendar for Odoo versions, the evolution of our modules and the view of our Odoo consulting and integration firm on these topics.
What topics do we cover?
Our articles fall into four categories.
- Compliance: the legal obligations that affect management, such as e-invoicing in Odoo Accounting.
- Versions: the Odoo support calendar, the end of support of a version and what waiting before an Odoo migration costs.
- Our modules: news about the ten ANOR modules published on the Odoo App Store.
- Project feedback: what we learn in the field, when a client allows us to tell the story.
Each article links to at least two in-depth pages of the site, so you can go further on a topic without starting from scratch.
Why follow this Odoo news?
Because two topics come up in almost all our conversations with SMEs: compliance and the lifecycle of the Odoo version in use. The publisher supports the three latest major versions. On Odoo.sh, the platform requires a supported version, so the Odoo upgrade is scheduled to a date. On a dedicated server, an older version keeps running, without security fixes from the publisher: planning the upgrade early means carrying it out calmly.
To see where you stand, see the Odoo versions page. To prepare a migration, the Odoo migration page details the steps and durations. And for in-depth resources, our guides cover cost, timeline and how to choose an Odoo integrator.
When a news item raises an organisational question, our consultants handle it as consulting work: project scoping, process review, project owner assistance. The first step is a free on-site situation audit, to establish a diagnosis before any decision.
Frequently asked questions
We publish when a topic warrants it: a regulatory change, end of support for a version, an evolution of our modules. We prefer a few useful articles to a regular flow with no substance.
Yes. Write to us or raise it during your first conversation with us. Questions that come up often become articles or guides.
The publisher maintains the three latest major versions. Odoo 20 has been released, Odoo 19 and Odoo 18 remain supported. Odoo 17, 16 and 15 no longer receive security fixes: an Odoo upgrade should be planned for those databases.
Reading it takes no help. Applying it to your database often calls for an outside eye: an Odoo consultant checks your version, your modules and your invoicing processes, then proposes an action plan. That is the purpose of our free situation audit.
